Furr Welcome Center
Opened in September 2007, the Furr Welcome Center is named for Drs. Bedford and Anita Furr ’37. Their vision and generosity made it possible to provide an outstanding facility to “shape new student lives” as they first step foot onto campus. Housing the Alumni office and the official receptionist for McMurry University, the $1.5 million dollar facility is an architectural feat that is attached to the iconic Radford Auditorium. Constructed with gothic and design features it appears like it was built at the time of the original building. Inside, the facility provides improved access to Radford, restrooms, a gallery for student and alumni art and an area for hosting meetings, seminars and receptions for university and community events. The Furr Welcome Center also serves as the primary location for McMurry’s widely appreciated Iris displays. |
